Partnerships

 

The Ministry of Health and USAID convened a meeting with media partners in health promotion to update the media about activities in the health sector, including achievements and challenges, and to clarify their roles and responsibilities in health promotion.  Also UPHOLD asked Gulu district to jointly facilitate the workshop as a case study in making sensitization workshops effectively change behavior. Promoting Positive Practices

 

In partnership with parents and children, USAID through the UPHOLD Project, explored realistic ways to promote parent-child dialogue to help children abstain from sex through delaying sexual debut and avoiding risky situations. More

School Health

 

School Health and Nutrition (SHN) is a new and exciting field!  SHN aims to improve educational outcomes by preventing and treating common health problems.  SHN can provide basic health services and education to pupils in schools and homes.  Importantly, it can also help form long-term positive health behaviors.   More
